Berita dan Artikel - Berita

Goal: To establish a condusive environment to prepare for coconut, maleo-conservation based ecotourism development in Binerean.

Introduction

Tanjung Binerean and the surrounding areas have been identified as a important, healthy and socially potenial to develop a maleo conservation program which is then will be a powerful tools to raise local awareness on nature conservation. The site expanding from Lagamuru to iGualo. A land next to Tanjung Binerean called Tanjung Lagamuru is mainly covered by thick grasses. There is a swamp in the middle. Some coconut trees grow on the northern side of the swamp. The total area hosts about 15 maleo nesting pits The hill between Binerean and Lagamuru is an excellent, pleasant site for monitoring. iGualalo is a maleo nesting ground, located at the other end the coast line from Binerean.
